SRAM eTap MultiClics setup

Anyone place them on the base bar as opposed to on the brake lever extensions?

They’re kind of in the way of my hands when mounted normally and trying to get bar tape around them is a true test of my patience.

I just made custom ones. Much smaller and easier to place/wrap.

Really…that’s all you got?

That kind of statement should have some more information included, like pics, or how you did this…I’m honestly not trying to be a dik, but how is this response helpful/insightful in any way?

Well it’s more than you brought to the thread…

Maybe OP hadn’t thought of making custom blips to fix their issue.

eTap Blips are simple passive momentary switches, the only tricky thing about making one yourself is the proprietary plug/connector. There are ways to get around that, easiest being to simply cut the button off a blip, and solder a smaller sp/st momentary switch in it’s place.

No shit…but what…you want him to beg you?

I’m not custom making anything. Out of my wheelhouse.

For the record, I’m not talking about blips or clics. Talking about these things: https://www.sram.com/en/life/stories/new_eTap_multiclics

I installed multiclics on the base bar of my gravel bike, and made a crappy YouTube video about it. Cutting the bar tape around the button wasn’t that bad. Hope this helps.
