Yes, pretty much. I wrap a single layer of fabric tape - the kind used for wiring harnesses - around the screw part, and that makes them fit snugly into my extensions.
That feels very unsecure with such a short piece inside the extension. Personally I put my hands resting on the blip holders and any bump in the road outs quite a lot of pressure on them
I should have shown the whole thing. My hands are on the extensions tubes. One finger is under the blip thing, and the button is on the switch. It is practically impossible to break it while riding. Otherwise, I would have used a design that goes over and not in the extensions.
