SRAM AXS 52 tooth chainring ...without power meter?

SRAM only makes larger chainingrings with power meter built in.
Are there any third party’s making sram force compatible chainrings 52t or bigger?

I should also note that I’d like it to be 2x not a 1x

Are you trying to modify existing 1X cranks you have?

Otherwise use whatever crankset you want. I am running Rotor cranks and rings with power2max power meter on my road bike and Cannondale cranks with Rotor rings and SRM powermeter on my tri bike.

I may be missing something, but I don’t see anything larger than 50t on rotors website.

I am not worried about the crank, happy to replace it if I can find an AXS compatible 2x chainring setup that is 52t without a power meter.

Rotor still doing up to a 55 and 56 in Q rings like I use.

I have Sram AXS 12 speed on both those bikes. You don’t need and AXS crank. I’ve gone from Sram 11 to 12 speed on my road just by changing the shifters/hoods, derailleurs, chain and cassette and from 11 speed Shimano on my tri bike doing the same. I put new rings on but the same as I had been using. I’m using Edco cassettes with a shimano freehub, a Shimano chain on my tri bike and a SUMC chain on my road bike too. Everything doesn’t have to match with Sram AXS.

Hmm. Good to know. E erything I had seen from others was that you vluld not mix and match like that with axs.

If memory serves me it was because of the specs of the flat top chain

I’m not using flat top chain and works fine. I think this is a ploy to get you to only use their chains and the selling point is for life of chain wear???

As far as I can tell it has been the same as going from 6 speed cassette when I first started racing a bike and the pitch of the chain hasn’t changed over the decades. The spacing of the cassette and the width of the chain has to now accomodate 12 speed, so as long as the cassettes spacings match and you have a narrow enough chain I figure we go again. Derailleurs just move left or right and the I’ve found everything changes flawlessly. Sram 12 and Rotor Q rings getting to work without rub is quite the art but with some patience and Osymetric Ring spacing adapters I got there.

Axs does have a different chain pitch. You’ll likely wear out components faster. Up to you if you care, but there is indeed a difference

It’s not a different pitch it’s larger diameter rollers and you can only use an AXS chain with AXS rings and cassettes so it turns out. Works fine with my set ups.
