My new pair of Brooks Ravenna’s squeak when I put my orthotics in. I don’t really hear it when I run, however when I walk its pretty loud and irritating.
Any suggestions…

Quit running. They’ll be perfectly quiet.
Have you tried putting baby powder on the inside of the shoe and under the orthotic?
.
I recommend some fish oil.
No seriously, find out exactly where the squeak comes from, and apply some powder…or just don’t walk in your running shoes. They are running shoes after all…
I have the same issue with my brooks 2 and superfeet orthodics. I just ignore it when I start running … never noticed it after a few minutes (they either stop squeaking, or I just zone-out). Interested to see what ideas others have on this.
I’ve had a few pairs of different Brooks and I’ve used both Powerstep and Superfeet insoles in them. I’ve noted that they tend to squeak when I’m walking around after first putting them on. However, after running a little bit the squeaking stops. It’s never really bothered me, except when I’m trying to sneak out for a run while my wife is asleep (and then I’ll just step outside to put my shoes on.)
Wonder if its something with the superfeet. I have a pair of Saucony Hurricane 13’s that I put the superfeet in and they have squeaked since a few runs after. I changed out the superfeet and same problem.
My Brooks Green Silence are far from silent. I got sick of it today and I just ordered some Kwicky Blade Lights (literally 5 minutes ago).
BTW, no orthotics at all.
Rub the bottom of your orthotics with a bar of soap, will have to do this every few months depending on how wet shoes get
.
Tried baby powder over the weekend and works great!!! Thanks.
