Spray Painting Recomendations for P3

I have that terrible grey P3 and as my winter project am looking at gettting a decent spray job done. I am based in Vancouver Canada however travel a fair bit on business in North America so not that concerned about the location of the shop I use. Looking for recommendations on who to use and what I should be looking out for …

Good shop here in Toronto, Bicycle Specialties (http://www.bikespecialties.com/). I was actually asking the same thing about a steel frame a few days back, and he quoted me $325 ($CDN), which includes: chemical stripping of old paint, sandblasting, primer (1 or 2 coats), colour coats, decals (if available) and clear coat. Each coat of paint is hand rubbed down before the next is applied.

The owner’s no rookie at this, as he’s been in the industry for 30+ years, and builds bikes (Mariposa). He’s also the father of USPS Team Member Michael Barry.

Locally, I’m told that the deKerf guys out in Richmond do a really nice job. There’s a guy on this forum who goes by “paint it” (or something to that effect) who’s done some REALLY nice custom work - search for pics, I’m sure you’ll be suitably impressed.

Glad to identify another member of the GVRD posse!

I can help with that paint and decals.
