Looks good. I’ll be interested to see more information.
Good to see life signs coming from Cannondale.
Scott Foil gets disc brakes too https://www.bikerumor.com/2018/02/22/2018-scott-foil-disc-adds-disc-brakes-race-winning-aero-road-bike/
.
They’re only 5 years late to the party…
sweet S5 disc
.
… nice, it features a kind of “air drop” behind the fork crown …
… besides the disc it shows some clever gains … oSo >>
… & I guess it was real hard work to convince them to go so far
That fork crown looks…odd…almost “inverted” on the leading edge.
Also, it looks like where the down-tube meets the crown on the rear the shaping is reminiscent of the “wings” on the old Specialized Transition (that the UCI made everyone saw off…)
The thought of “aero road bikes” with separate braking discs still makes me chuckle…

If I recall correctly, those wings were outside the UCI’s 8 cm box.
i like the fork/headtube integration + hidden hydro line for front brake. that’s pretty slick.
It would be most interesting if possibly new nano resins are featured in that frame …

You lost. It’s over. Like it or not, it won’t be long until the most aero and best road bikes simply won’t be available with dual-purpose discs. Sooner or later acceptance is the only rational choice. The record of your dissent is well-preserved, so no need for virtue signalling to other dissenters ad nauseum.
It’s over for the new generation …
Any comment on the photo? (sorry, someone had to ask!)
yeah i’m confused by this too. i get it on a gravel bike or endurance or cross or whatever. i’ve been wanting a cannondale aero road bike for years, but i never would have imagined they’d stick disc brakes on it. i don’t really understand why they would, unless its just demanded by the market now?
Have you not been following cycling news the past year? Or reading the forums?

“Lost”? I’m not sure what it is you think I lost…
Anyway, I’m going to poke fun at “mis-optimizations” wherever I see them.
