Anyone have any experience with this company? Given the heightened airport security, dragging a bike case through the airport and having security tear into it looking for explosives isn’t exactly appealing. Not because I’d carry a bomb, of course, but because we all know packing your bike/gear is an art and these guys probably won’t care how they jam things back in the case to get it closed.
A quick quote seems like they’re a bit more expensive than the airlines (i.e. about $30-40 more round trip) but it may be worth it.
Good/bad - let me know.

I recently had sportsexpress.com ship my bike from Seattle to San Diego and back. It was incredibly seamless! They picked up my bike at home and delivered it to the hotel exactly when they promised. There was no damage whatsoever noting that what increases the cost is insurance and I’m not sure I need to insure it like I did given how well they took care of my bike. They then picked it up at the hotel and shipped it back home, no problem. They were awesome!
I used the service for IMFL last November and would highly recommend them. With airlines charging upwards of $85 each way, the $160 round trip from Colorado to Panama City via FedEx was very reasonable, especially considering they picked the case up at my house, it was waiting at my hotel when I arrived, they picked it up at the hotel the day I left, and it arrived at my doorstep a couple days after I did. No schlepping the case to the airport and back, or waiting for it to arrive in baggage claim, hoping it will fit in the rental car. When it got to my house the top of the case was cracked (no damage to bike). I contacted them and they arranged to have the damaged piece picked up for inspection. A week or so later a new top arrived from TriAllThree, no charge.
