SponsorHouse.com Profile Pages..?

Does anyone have a sponsorhouse.com profile? I used this when I was wakeboading and it did help to secure some sponsors, but I’m skeptical for tris.

Don’t feel you HAVE to look at this, but this is mine. www.sponsorhouse.com/members/courtcrutcher

I was just interested if any other ST’ers have a set up here. I think it helps slightly to avoid the “myspace” type crowd and can actually serve with a solid networking purpose. However, there aren’t many triathletes, etc., on there that I’m aware of.

What do you all think?

I have a sponsorhouse account. A link to my page is in my signature. I don’t have a Myspace page, but I think it is very similiar. It is easy to use and easy to update.

Do sponsors actually find you? Does it work to get sponsored or is it just a myspace type of site?

Im on there, but Its kind of worthless for triathlon sponosorship. Its seems to be only good if you ride motocross.

Agreed. I have mine as well, I’ve applied for the 5 free sponsorships and all 5 are still standing unaswered.

My nephew rides motocross so I did a search and found he has a page. Apparently not one he uses though as he hasn’t logged in for over a year, only has a couple of pictures and it appears to be basically empty. It doesn’t say anything about his sponsors, although I know he has several.

I’m on Sponsorhouse, althought it’s mainly for the MTB side of things. SH was originally set up for the MotoX world, thus why there is so much of it on there, they are by far the largest group. They’ve been expanding out over the years to other sports. The endurance thing is probably the newest grouping. There are not alot of sponsors on there directly related to tris, although there are some(speedplay, spinergy, motortabs, to name a couple). They are working to get more companies involved. I think it’s a worthwhile thing to do for a couple reasons. It’s an easy place to setup your info online, the more people that are on it realted to Tris, the more protential sponsors will be intersted in using it for marketing. It’s also good resource to use when you’re hitting up sponsors outside of the site. Some of the sponsors are really slow at responding, best time to apply is the fall/winter season, that’s when most are checking them.

It’s worked pretty good for my on the DH MTB side, have deals going on with 13 companys at the moment, 10 are from SH. They deals range from discounts to free stuff, so it’s paid for itself.

I have a personal account with sponsorhouse AND my company just signed a deal with them. If anybody here on ST needs nutritional products, click on Power Crunch when it goes live in a day or two. EVERYONE will get some kind of deal. FOP, MOP, or BOP

Perhaps because you are not particularly, or even marginally, fast or talented.

Wow, well that was fun. Is everyone with a sponsor fast and talented? No. Maybe you don’t know a lot about how sponsorship works with amateur athletes? It’s not all about being fast and/or talented.

But then again, I wasn’t pointing out that I wasn’t sponsored, but that they were unanswered. I’d be fine with them saying no, no sweat off my back.

Anyway, thanks for the kind words. Go hide in annonymity.
