What would be the lowest a 150lb guy should go on a set of 404’s? Would I kill myself on an 18 front and 24 rear? I’m not that powerful, and intend the wheels only for racing.
I have 18/24 and I am 170 lbs, 150 is a flyweight.
18front/24rear, that’s the standard 404 spoke count isn’t it? I am in the 180’s and ride 404clinchers full time. There has never been a problem only a minor truing. I don’t think you’ll have any problem.
Thanks fellas. I wasn’t sure what the stock config. was. I’m thinking about buying just the rims and lacing them to a set of AM Classic Ultralight hubs. You’ve set my mind at ease.
