Spinning bike height extension

I’m 6’5 and trying to do a spinning class 1-2 times a week with the girlfriend but I can’t adjust the bike to fit me - the handlebars don’t adjust up high enough. I can adjust the seat high enough without a problem but when we have to climb/stand on the pedals I’m almost bent in half to get down to the bars… they are so low such that even at their highest I can barely touch them when I’m out of the saddle.

The spinning instructor said he had heard some company makes extensions for this problem but didn’t know the name and I can’t seem to find anything with a Google search.

Does anyone have any experience with this problem? Able to point me towards a solution? Thanks for any help…

What brand of spinning bike are you using?

this sounds like a geat setup

you can focus on staying in a nice steep, low aero position and ignore the fools that keep getting out of the saddle!

Spin bike is a Schwinn Evolution

jackmott - Agreed. However this entire thing is more about keeping the peace at home. I got the g/f to buy bike shorts and shoes that she’s started wearking to spin class (still doesn’t have a real bike…) so now she’s on me to start going to spin with her.

Not sure if this helps but I am 6’3 and our club uses star trak’s which give plenty of room for the seat and I have the handlebars down to just below the bars which is at second setting. I have not had a problem. I set the bike up like my road set-up and have good results.
