Are all SIDI shoes compatible with Speedplay pedals? I am new to this…so sorry if this is a dumb question.

Well my 2002 sidi genius 5’s have speedplay zero cleats

Yep- the Speedplay cleats will fit your Sidi’s
Just don’t over tighten when attaching screws on cleats to bottom of shoes …instructions will guide you along (basically snug tight - might even put a drop of locktite on the screw).

Thank you. Going to order them now! So will the pedals come with the adaptors I need for the shoes…or do I need to buy something else?
Pedals will come with the cleats you need for the bottom of the shoes.
No need for anything else.

If you go top end with the Sidi Ergo Carbon 3, you can get a Speedplay specific version that allows you to dispense with the adapter and just bolt the cleat directly to the shoe. Otherwise, you’ll need the adapter. Regardless they’ll work fine

One more question…do you have to order the adaptors separate or do they come with the shoes or pedals?

I’ve been using Sidi shoes with Speedplay pedals for a long time. Order the shoes and everything else you need will come with the pedals. I don’t like using locktite, I put bearing grease on the screws and they never loosen up. If you ever need screws for your Speedplay cleats, call Speedplay and they will send them to you free of charge.
