My well used Vanquisher goggle elastic band snapped today.
I’m not so cheap that I can’t afford new goggles, but just curious if there are any fixes or replacement bands since the goggles themselves are fine and it seems like a waste to toss an otherwise perfectly good pair of goggles. (Mine are the optical ones as well.)
Adjust them & tie the ends together. May look slightly ghetto but you should have some extra strap from the original setup.
Or buy a pair of swedes & use that strap on the vanquishers. Or get a bungee strap. I’ve put bungees on all but one back-up pair, because they don’t break.
Bungee strap!! I couldn’t even tell you when I last replaced mine. Maybe 5 or 6 years ago? They last forever…I always use mirrored swedes with the bungee and then 20lb fishing line as the nose piece. Haven’t had goggles break pre race or in practice since I figured out the fishing line in college.

X10 on the bungee strap, been using the same one for about 6 yrs or so.
tie a square knot, mine are going one 2 years like that… sometimes it catches seaweed etc, but otherwise it’s fine
