Was wondering if anyone had experence with speedo fastskins, this is no tri style, which I feel would be ok for sprint.
My only concern would be the length of the legs, but the compression may help…

Speedo makes tri gear with the fast skin technology.

sorry I know they make tri gear, I can get this style from friend with out the pad, for a race I feel that it will be ok, question is really about the length of the legs, do you see this as a hinderence, or not…
I don’t see how you could possibly make up enough time in an open water swim to make up for the time to take the suit off.
so this would not be a good suit to wear the whole race…not take it off…swim, bike, ride…
There’s no way you could pay me to do a tri in one of those. I raced in this (exact) suit in college, and had my fastest 200fr (in 05) in it. It’s a very fast suit, but properly fit it is:
The price is indicative of what the fastskin now is, second rate (to the LZR & Blue Seventy pool suits) competition grade swimming suit. If you got a size large enough to be comfortable through 3 disciplines of triathlon, the suit’s water benefits would be voided IMO.
Personally, I wouldn’t see the benefit. It’s only good for 150m or so, then it’s waterlogged. Then you have to ride and run with long legs. I wouldn’t want to do that.
The gain would be a couple of seconds (at MOST) in the water, but then be hot and restricted on the bike and run. I see much more downside to this than potential benefit.
thanks that is the question I was looking for…whew thanks for the help as they would be peeling this off me after I passed out from lack of oxygen…this is what is so great about this site…the help, and not making a newbee feel like an idoit…which is what i would have been in this suit!
