This is a pretty cool looking e-bike. Obviously they will be banned from racing but they are starting to slim down the bulk of e-bikes.

Dang that’s cool. The range extender is a neat idea too.
I have seen e-bikes changes two people’s lives so far and I’m all for anything getting more people out and (more) active.
But the price! Starts at $9,000 and goes up past $16,500! You can buy a very cool motorcycle for $16,500. This “bike” doesn’t compete with other bicycles. It’s in the light motorcycle market.
Does anyone have an idea if you could do 90 km in under 2 hours at 480 watts? Or 180 km at 360 watts in under 4 hours?
Thanks!!! Asking for a friend!
Maurice

Yeah, I saw the usual summary of build options in an article and the first two were $9kish. I only glanced at those, and quickly scrolled down expecting to see lower priced builds, as is customary in these summaries. 'Bout fell off the stool when I saw $14 and $16.5k! WTever-livingF! Orbea gives you something very similar (Carbon frame, hidden battery, Di2, optional plug-in range-extending bottle-shaped battery, etc) for under $6k…and has an option under $3k if you’re willing to live with an Aluminum frame and 10-speed mechanical shifting.
