Specialized Transition Discontinued?

I was looking on Specialized’s website today and noticed that the Transition was no longer listed. Is this an indication that they will no longer make the Transition? I have been saving up for a new bike, with hopes to purchase next Spring, and the Transition was one of the bikes that I saw eying, so I was just curious…

Discontinued for a number of years now mate.

Until recently it was still listed on their site. Transition Apex.

they were offering an entry-level 2013 version in the states last year. You may have luck checking with your specialized dealer to see if they have any left or some available in the warehouse.

Lots of used ones out there that you can probably buy right now.

There was a 2013 model but not sure if they are making any going forward. I’m selling mine shortly if your interested. 09 expert with lots of upgrades

I work part time for a Specialized dealer and I just checked the stock on their dealer website. Depending on what size you need, they do have a few left in stock. Most sizes have about 10-20 left in stock. So I would say that if you want one, you should order pretty quickly.

I wish I had the funds available to order one soon, but I probably will not have that much available for awhile. Darn.

If that’s the bike you really want, Specialized has a dealer exchange program where a dealer can put out a request for a bike that Specialized doesn’t have in stock and if another dealer has it, they can sell it to them. Might be worth a try if that is the bike you want.

Don’t know if you are still in the market but the price on this bike has been greatly reduced at many local bike shops. Some dealers are selling for as little as $1500 right now.
