Hello,
I’m considering purchasing a Specialized Roubaix. There’s the older model with the Zertz dampening inserts Verses The newer Roubaix with the seat post and and the future shock front end suspension. Will the newer model be miles ahead in the whole comfort area?
If any one has some opinions I’d greatly appreciate it.
I have a SL4 and love it. A friend of mine has the new Roubaix and is happy with it. There both built for comfort so kinda apples and oranges. You should test ride if you can.
My dad has both. He’s 75. He prefers the old model. I’ve ridden both. The SL4 feel more like a Tarmac—more lively—but the new one has disc brakes, which I like, and is super comfy. If I didn’t have a Tarmac already I’d go with the SL4. if you already have a road bike, go with the new model.
Thanks. I have owned many road bike, mainly Cervelo’s. The SL4 that I’m considering also has disc brakes. The new front end shock is it a big plus? The SL4 also has the new seat post.
