Obviously. Since they have no one to maintain their digital advertising presence.
How long will I have to look at this? Or is it still relevant? I guess maybe when they release a new bike? If they need some help, I’m willing. But I’ll probably charge more than Crowie.
I’ve seen this ad for years in magazines and stuff and still have no earthly idea what it means. Nothing against Specialized, and I ride a Shiv, but this ad has always struck me as terrible because it doesn’t seem to convey anything without outside information.
But, to be fair, if you’re seeing any ads at all online you’re probably doing the internet wrong.

The first time I saw this, I thought it was referring to 13 hours and 14 minutes. I imagine that is not the message they were trying to send. I now know this is 13 min 14 seconds off his bike split from Orbea to Spesh. Not really sure what that means. Weather can do that to you.
Or you’ve completely missed why I posted it. I know what the ad refers to. Thanks though. If you have some time, would love to hear more about this Google thing.
If I have to go to the tubes to figure out your ad, your ad has probably failed.
Or has it?
Can we stop talking about what it means and talk more about why the hell I’m still seeing it? Surely they can throw up a pic of Rapp riding his Shivanator around “The Big Loop” crushing watts. Maybe with some arbitrary number detailed even. At least it would be current/relevant. There’s that Gomez guy too - hear he’s been doing some cool stuff.
In all honesty. I like Specialized (I think). Primarily because of my Gomez man crush. But also because I really really like my Allez E5. Thanks for making that bike Specialized. I don’t care about my watts saving while riding it. I think thats because my wallet cushions the ride via all the money I saved buying it over the Tarmac. But you might have convinced me that I need a Tarmac. Since if an *aluminum *bike can be that nice - then a carbon one??
I agree with the stupid advertising. The ad should tell you what they are talking about or people will just skip over it like I have for a long time. The only reason I know what it’s about was from another reference.
I shouldn’t have to google anything to find out what an ad is about.
I started really following this site in 2013 and last year bought a Shiv…I (for some reason) thought that it stood for the 2013/2014 model year Shivs…but I don’t know why. I never thought too much about it other than it was sort of a weird ad. It’s kind of cool if you know what it means (with Alexander’s time improvement), but on it’s own…it’s kind of silly.
