Hey everyone. I’m looking for fitting advice. I have a line on a used Specialized Shriv Expert Disc that I think would really suit my purposes and I was thinking of buying. I can’t test this bike before purchasing due to geography and scheduling. I am wondering if the size is suitable.
The online sizing tool on the Specialized website suggests that I should get a medium, but the bike is a large. At first glance, I’d think that I shouldn’t do it.
Looking at the geometry chart, there’s lots of flexibility. The large size shows
stack can range from 617 to 732 (my recent fit suggested 700)Reach can range from 361 to 576 (my fit suggested 450)
I guess I’m wondering if anyone has experience with the flexibility and fitting ranges of the Specialized Tri bikes. How believable are these fitting ranges? Do I ignore the fitting tool that tells me Medium is better (the stack on medium appears to top out at 700).
Thanks in advance
