Most of you certainly don’t remember who was third in the female’s race in Sydney.
Well that athlete (Magali Messmer, of Switzerland) quit racing after the olympics, had a baby and got married…
It appears though that she may start again competing this year having in mind to qualify for Athens. It is a big challenge, she’s only done some Mountain Bike races these past two years for fun, but being a former swimmer and a very good runner too, I think she will be one to watch come next August.
Anyway, just thought I’d share this news.
