Big proponent of the right finishing tape, and with so many bikes now in neon/hi-viz colors, I’m looking for electrical tape to match.
I’ve searched long & hard, but can only find gaffer or duct tape in such colors. Anybody ever come across neon yellow, pink, or orange in electrical tape?
Electricians don’t use neon tape, so manufacturers don’t make neon electrical tape. The tape colors correspond to specific phasing requirements in the NEC code book, none of which is “hot pink”.
If you Google ‘3M Scotchcal orange’ you will find some hi-viz Mil Spec vinyl; but it’s wider than electrical tape and not as stretchy. Might do the job though. It’s great for sticking to stuff to get you seen.
Good point - thanks. Never considered that here were certain colors for a reason.
Pink and purple electrical tape are available from 3m here- neither look quite fluorescent.
Maybe a model/ hobby shop?
