In keeping with my history of asking the sometimes unusual, does anyone in the know, know of a source for cantilever mounting ‘units’ which can clamp on or could be bonded on? I looked at Problem Solvers, but did not find anything. Now before you go and start saying that I should not do this, as it puts loads on areas which were not designed for those loads, dont worry, I wont hold you accountable. I just want to know where to find the things to do some testing; so please, no ill informed, ‘I think that is a bad idea’ replies if you can possibly hold those back. I just want to find some. There was a product from the late 80’s/90’s just for this. I’ve seen it go for over $100 on ebay.
I’ve successfully had canti posts welded onto steel road bikes in the past.
Old school centerpulls would be fine actually to give CX a try on your road bike. They’d stop better too.
