Source for cantilever 'braze on' which can either be clamped on or bonded?

Hi,

In keeping with my history of asking the sometimes unusual, does anyone in the know, know of a source for cantilever mounting ‘units’ which can clamp on or could be bonded on? I looked at Problem Solvers, but did not find anything. Now before you go and start saying that I should not do this, as it puts loads on areas which were not designed for those loads, dont worry, I wont hold you accountable. I just want to know where to find the things to do some testing; so please, no ill informed, ‘I think that is a bad idea’ replies if you can possibly hold those back. I just want to find some. Thank you very much for your help!

Sincerely,

Stephen J

There was a product from the late 80’s/90’s just for this. I’ve seen it go for over $100 on ebay.

I’ve successfully had canti posts welded onto steel road bikes in the past.

Old school centerpulls would be fine actually to give CX a try on your road bike. They’d stop better too.

There used to be something known as Moots Mounts. But they are pretty hard to find these days.
