Sole F60

Looking for a cheap TM mainly for my wife to walk on. Although both my daughter and my self would run on it when weather is bad. I weigh 135 pounds and daughter weighs 100 so I don’t think we need something to heavy duty. The F60 is $799 delivered to your front door. Anybody have any experience with this model?

I have had the F80 for 6 years and it is great. F60 should be fine for walking

Can’t help, but we have the F63 on it’s way (should be here Wednesday) and the hubby and I can’t wait! From all the reviews, if it is mostly for walking the F60 should be just fine. Should also handle some running just fine too.

The Sole treadmills get a lot of solid reviews. I was considering a Sole this fall when I began shopping for treadmills, but ended up with a True PS100, as I wanted something that would last for many years (not that a Sole wouldn’t). Rock solid and very happy after 3 weeks of running on the PS100.

Just got this treadmill 10 days ago, great so far and I’m around 140 right now.

Cant help with the 60 as we have the 85. we have had nothing but great service from sole as well as great results with the treadmill my wife and I both beat it to death during winter. I cant say enough about it only con was how heavy it was to get down into the pain cave!

did you happen to look on the slowtwitch front page?

The F63 is $200 more. The only difference I really see between the F60 and the F63 is the a bigger motor. The 60 has a 2.75 and the 63 has a 3.0. Is the bigger motor worth the extra $200?

I honestly have no clue - but went with the F63 based on some reviews that said if you can’t afford the F85, go with the F63. Hopefully the hubby and I are happy with it!

We have the F63. Can’t say if the difference in HP is worth the $200 or not since I haven’t run on the F60, but when we were researching it was recommended to get the 3HP motor if we could. We’ve had the F63 for 5 years now and I’ve been happy with it. I’ve lubed the belt a few times and replaced the speed control switch on the arm about a year ago. Other than that, and an irregular cleaning, no maintenance has been needed. Only negative I can think of is compared to some others I’ve used it’s a little slower to come up to speed but nothing excruciating.(i.e. 20 to 25 seconds compared to 10 to 12).

I own the f80 and love having the 22"deck. I paid $1200 for it on a black friday sale 2 years ago. I’m sure yours will be fine.

I would suggest posting $99 extra for delivery into your home.

Bought a Sole F63 about 8-9 years ago. No issues. Would like a slightly more informative display (like pace in miles per minute, not mph), but otherwise, it’s pretty solid. Got it from Dick’s sporting goods on sale. Like Slowman’s article says, I never use the programs, much preferring to control the pace and incline myself.

If you are near a Dick’s or Sears(?), you should be able to try out a Sole before buying. I ran on an F6O-something and thought it was great, so I bought the S77 and love it. Agree with others that the control panel is lacking (think pong compared to modern video game) but who cares, it’s good enough to know pace and time. Changes in speed are also slower than gym models.
