Sockless Trail Shoe question for Tough Mudder

Does anyone know which trail shoes are okay to run sockless in…other then Merrell or Vibram or those stupid Fila things with the missing toe?

This seems like a good idea for Tough Mudder as running in soaked socks is not fun. I’d also settle for arguments to wear socks. I never have any problems with my Zoots when I sweat a lot.
I would prefer to not to waste too much time building up callouses in shoes that aren’t designed to be worn sockless.

Side note…As much as I don’t like the Fila’s, it’s a brilliant way to get around a patent.

NB Minimus Trail?

I’ve got a few pairs of Inov-8 trail shoes and the F-lite 230s are the best sockless trail shoe I’ve found. The 195 is okay if you want a lighter shoe, but not quite as good as the 230.

I find Zoot shoes to be great for running sock less in. And they have a new trail running shoe out this year. I haven’t tried it, but wouldn’t hesitate given my personal success with their other shoes.

I run sockless in the Adizero XT. http://www.roadrunnersports.com/rrs/products/ADI1612/

Before that, a pair of minimalist New Balances (M870 - I think). Looks like that has been replaced with the MT10. http://www.newbalancewindsor.com/products/450/.aspx

I did TM in Mizuno Wave Ascends with socks and had no problem. I did put duct tape over the shoes (over the laces) to help keep them on.
That and rugby shorts was pretty much perfect attire for that race.
