So what is "good swag"

We are preparing our goodie bags for this years race and I want to know what you want in it. Pick three things. Last year we threw in

  1. A Gu gel pack
  2. A mesh hat with the race logo
  3. A "Got Triathlon…sticker. Kinda like Got milk…get it?

Those are all very good, I would be happy to get that. I like the hat insted of the T-shirt.

Gels are good, I like the hat idea. I haven’t recieved one of those. A sample of body glide or something similiar is good for those who forgot it. Good advertising might be a athletes workout log with all your races listed and then sell coupon/ad space to businesses around the race to make a little $$ or at least pay for the logs.

which race is it?

I think one of the coolest things I ever recieved was a carbon fiber wallet from spinergy.

One of our local race directors gave out ceramic mugs for the races for a couple of seasons. These were great as we all need these, they are fun and still practical. Also, it doesn’t matter if one gets broken from time to time as inevitiably can happen.

Knowing the race director I would suggest that these can be had at a very reasonable price.

well I certainly like the hat idea, and have never seen that before. that along with a sunscreen sample, and bodyglide sample would be fantastic. also, you might be able to hit up P&G for some deodorant samples. I might be able to find out who is in charge of that. or, how about basic pain killer medications, upset stomach (or anxious stomach) OTC meds, or something like that. i know the people in charge of that stuff at P&G.

the hat though is my favorite.

We do the high quality running hat and technical t, water bottles (2), sore no more, and foldable brush. I’ve heard sun visors are appreciated (not by me since I’m bald)

I received a towel with the race logo at a triathlon a couple years ago and have gotten a lot of use out of it. It’s a sweat towel on the computrainer and my dog doesn’t mind being dried off with it. sometimes she makes it seem like an inconvenience (delays feeding) but I think she likes it.
