Snoring

A family friend of mine just died in his sleep last week. 50 years old with two kids.

I ordered a sleep study for myself yesterday.

I use one of these wedges also. they have a shorter version wedge that I use. I like it better than stacking up pillows.

I had follow up with the Dr i’m seeing about apnea. She is not satisfied with my dental guard results that I got 2 years ago…says my pulse ox is still dipping too low at night, it spiked down into 80s for a bit…this is per the finger gauge worn at night. So she just ordered another more expansive sleep study test for me. So we’ll see…i may be in for a cpap after all.

I think I was on my side briefly after my wife left for work and I slept soundly, but she wasn’t there to tell me if I was snoring then.

My buddy has a pulse ox, I may borrow it and do an informal sleep study using the wedge and without. I do plan on getting a real sleep study soon though.

Yeah that sounds a little too familiar. Good for you. When do you go?

Not for a few weeks, unfortunately. I’m going away for a bit and they didn’t have any openings before my trip.

A big red flag for me that I would like to address is that I’m constantly sick, and constantly tired. Without exaggerating, I would say I get sick, from mild cold to full on flu once every 6-8 weeks. Now, I am in that life stage with young kids in daycare who are constantly sniffling, and my (our) wife brings home everything under the sun home from the hospital, but I feel like I have the immune system of someone with full blown aids.
