Also, post up your favorite blenders, mine kicked the bucket…

as for the smoothie recipe:

strawberries (about a cup)
2 bananas
yogurt (about 1/4-1/2 cup)
protein powder (Spirutein vanilla)
8th Continent Chocolate soy milk (12oz or so)
ice

Post workout smoothie is a mix of water/skim milk(1/4 cup or so, total) 1 scoop of whey protein(chocolate or banana), some oatmeal(i dont measure), one scoop of dextrose and a banana. Takes 1 minute to make, tastes great, gets you what you need.

1/2 cup non-fat vanilla frozen yogurt
4 or 5 oz of skim milk
3-6 strawberries (depending on size)
1/4 cup blueberries (small handful)
1 medium banana
1 packet of milk or dark chocolate carnation instant breakfast
1/2 tbsp peanut butter
1 teaspoon honey
couple pieces of ice
can add a dash of vanilla for flavor if you like

As for blenders, I have a Braun with glass container (easy cleaning). Works great, and cost less than $40.

Pre-race and pre-training smoothy:

2 organic eggs
1/2 litre of milk
A punnet of fresh strawberries or a can of strawberries
2 very ripe bananas
Sometimes a scopp of ice-cream

Have been using this one regularly for the past 6 months before long rides and it has made a big difference to my endurance during the ride and the recovery afterwards.
Got sick of bananas but this is a good way to add them back into my diet. Bananas are not expensive at my home.
