…or at least give him a warning about his trolling on the main forum. He’s starting to act like orang_utang. He’s posted his “support the troops” thread five times. For a start it has nothing to do with triathlon and should not be on the main forum. If this keeps up we won’t be able to distinguish the main forum from the Lavender Room. The Lavender Room was created because the large numbers of political posts were stating to ruin the tri forum. We can’t let this happen again.
He’s posted many posts here and hardly any of them have anything to do with triathlon. Please, banish the guy back to the Lavender Room where he belongs.
I’ll admit to having made and participated in many off topic threads, but since the Lavender Room was established it’s now easier to keep the OT stuff over there. Before the LR was created there were more OT posts on some days than on topic ones. I may disagree with Brian286 on a lot of issues, but the place to discuss it is on the Lavender Room. The main forum should be for tri or tri lifestyle related posts.
5 times is alot! BUT his post wasnt political it was for charity! He did remind me to make my holiday donations so I appreciated the 1st post. Others made it political!
DON’T BAN BRIAN286–you will miss pearls of wisdom like this one:
If you drew a circle that represents all of the knowledge in the universe, and then within that circle draw another that represents man’s knowledge, you would find alot of left over space of knowledge that is not known.
stop acting like a school girl, running and tatteling to slowman. what are you 13? slowman can see. he can read. he will do what he thinks is in the best interest of this forum. brian is a member of this forum and in the tri business (and he is really fast). let him do what he wants as long as he is following the forums rules, which so far he is. i’ve seen others post 5 at a time. tibbs can have half a dozen a day, so why can’t other people.
the holiday spirit in here is too much. we need to get back to training and racing as opposed to insulting each other and generally acting like ass*****.
This talk of banning is disturbing. On one hand I love the concept of the open forum. On the other, it becomes a bother when people start to make it their own private soapbox. However, there is an out - just don’t respond to, comment on or deal with the threads that you don’t like. Of course, this is assuming you get the drift of the thread from the subject line in the first place.
Personally, I just tend to stir clear of these sorts of posts. If you thought people get their shorts in a knot over what water bottles are more aero-dynamic, it’s a whole other world when real politics starts to enter into the fray.
OK, I’ll take it back. Banning is much too strong a word and was tongue in cheek when I originally posted it. But it would be nice if he stopped posting that 7-11 post five times and also if political posts were re-directed to the Lavender Room.
Monk, what can I say, I’m a one trick pony. However, the two situations in which I pulled that rabbit out of the bag, as you are aware, have some similarity and I would hope that you would appreciate my consistency.
i also went to catholic school and those girls were mean to me.
My only wish is that people would exact some common sense on where they post stuff. Clearly this sort of thing is OT. However, as they say, “common sense is uncommon”!
Let’s all be schoolgirls! Let’s shower together and explore our sexuality! Let’s talk about boys, talk on the phone, giggle, eat chocolates and stay up all night!
