Sizing track spikes

Would you a half or full size larger then your normal running shoe size?

Same size as running shoes
.

Every make of shoe, and every model of shoe (with the rule-proving exception) is built on a different last. So you’ll find that you’re not a fixed shoe size, you’re a fixed shoe range. Rather than size 9, you’re 8.5-9.5, depending on the make and model.

Having said that: go down a half size, and don’t wear socks in your spikes. You don’t want any play in the forefoot (spike plates yield nasty blisters).

smaller, anywhere from .5 to 1.5 sizes (Depending on model/brand), and don’t wear socks. Also, if you are new to spikes, the spikes themselves come in different lengths depending on the length of the event and track surface type so get the correct ones. (And, there are some tracks that don’t allow spikes outside of specific meets, make sure you can use them where you are intending to.)

John

I ment to say smaller. I am a dork. I am going to make them into road shoes. I have noticed my leg pain isn’t increasing, just hanging around annoying level, so why not give the old road a try again.

Ever pair of spikes I have ever worn were exactly the same size as (almost) every pair of trainers and flats I have ever worn. Assuming you are not going to get to try these one, AND assuming they are from a company that makes other shoes you have worn before, do not go up or down at all from trainers unless your regular shoes are somewhat oversized.

Do not go up or down a size at all from racing flats, period.

And wear socks or do not wear socks to your preference. It makes no difference
