The ST forum works fine in the brave (desktop) browser.
But it is insanely slow in the firefox (desktop) browser. So slow as to be completely unusable.
Any updates to the fix or the timeline?
there is nothing to fix re firefox. i’m writing to you write now in firefox. it runs the slowtwitch forum perfectly fine. now, there may well be something to fix. but it’s not how our site handles firefox on my desktop.

It is odd, I completely cleared all my cookies and files in firefox, the browser is newly updated, and yet it still runs insanely slow for your site only. Other users report similar things. Could there be something going on, a problem that is not just on my particular computer?

Sounds good. No rush, I just figured that it would be good to continue to give feedback.
If it is an issue that is only on my end, that’s on me. But if this is a more generalized problem, maybe that is some good info for your development folks.

In terms of Firefox – we’re in process of a fix.
Can you point out forum notification issues? I haven’t gotten any kind of report on that previously.
so based on a bunch of removal of old dead code, this SHOULD be fixed? The site was loading in about 2-3s for me on Firefox. And similar on Chrome. Both are measurably faster than before I ripped out the cruft.
At the time I had this problem, I tried all the options of clearing cache, clearing history, etc. and nothing worked so I just switched browsers for a while. A month or so later, I was able to go back to using Firefox and all is running well now. Thanks!
It does seem faster in Firefox now!
