Is it normal for your sit bones to be sore after you ride? I have an Adamo Road saddle at the moment on my tri bike. I have had the saddle for about a year now. I have been fitted on my bike as well. I usually get 3 rides a week on it (40-60 miles). I am sitting towards the nose and not back like some have said causes pain. I am 6’ 205lbs. with a thicker build. After I ride…20 miles average…sometimes more…my sit bones are noticeably sore. Not unbearable…but I notice the soreness when walking. They are sore to the touch. They are sore enough that I don’t know that I could comfortably ride two days in a row. I enjoy cycling but think it would be much more enjoyable to not be sore after. I have had it adjusted at level, 1, and 2 degrees down. Today after my ride I adjusted it up a degree. I will try this in a couple of days.
No idea if it’s “normal” but I loved my adamo TT saddle last year and HATE it this year. I’ve had all sorts of soreness issues despite endless tweaking. So I just took it off the bike and am back at trying other saddles again. Last year I could easily handle six hour rides on it. This year I want to light it on fire and throw it off a cliff after two hours. You are definitely on the right track by playing with the angle of the saddle and sitting on the nose of it. But not everyone can be comfortable on that style of saddle and apparently not everyone can be comfortable on it for two seasons in a row!
It can be normal if you haven’t ridden many miles outdoors. It should go away fairly quickly- 2-300 miles. If you’ve been riding for a while outdoors, then something is amiss.
I only ride outdoors…I don’t own a trainer…
try their wider saddle if it still doesn’t work…i had the same issue. Adamo Prologue solved it
Might want to try the Racing 2 instead of the TT. Very similar but a little softer.
i have a john cobb saddle which is like the adamo, and also get the sit bone issue which manifests itself as glute pain near the sit bone as well. prepared to put up with this though as i think its better than getting numbness like you get with a regular saddle when in the aero position. i think the latter is ‘worse’ for you.
I have the Adamo racing 2 and that has solved all my numbness and sit bone pain. Can ride 40-60km every day without issue. I have it set up with about a 2 degree nose down and that seems most comfortable to me. I am similar size to you (5’11", 205lbs). Try some bodyglide on your chamois of your shorts too. It all helps…might be that pre-blister pain that is more soft tissue related

Do you get out of the saddle much?
I find that slowtwitch likes to recommend saddle changes way too much than what is actually needed. Get out of the saddle, sit to the left/right of the saddle, etc. I’m still learning about this stuff too, but it works.
I have thought about the Prologue…just afraid it would be to wide and cause thigh chaffing.
I get out of the saddle some…not much though. Is it possible to be sitting to far forward on the nose? Maybe I have the wrong area. Can you describe where the sit bones are? My pain is between the back of the scrotum and butthole…2 points of pain about 3 fingers wide…If this makes sense. Basically either side of the taint.
What you’re describing is pretty normal when you first get on an Adamo, but if it persists beyond a week or two of riding then it’s likely the saddle has too much uptilt and the twin tips need to be angled flatter or down a bit more. Go too far down with the saddle tilt and you’ll find yourself sliding as you ride and having to periodically make yourself slide backwards onto the saddle. So the trick is finding either the most uptilt you can handle without that discomfort from the double tips or the most downtilt you can manage without sliding forward as you ride.
And FWIW, no I don’t think it’s really possible to sit too far forward on an Adamo as you should basically be perched right at the front of those twin tips but once you get past the initial break in period there shouldn’t be soreness or pain.

have you taken a mirror to the region to make sure you have no hidden boils or something? I honestly have no clue what you call it, I say boil, but it could be called something else, wart, zit, etc. Basically a rash from the saddle that just goes too far. Could be causing extremely discomfortable in that regions.
I haven’t mirrored it…the pain is actually coming from when I poke at it all the way to the hard spot that feels like bone.

do you happen to do alot of uphill riding while out of the aero bars (putting all of your weight in that region?).
I will say that I ride more upright on the hills than aero. What will sitting farther back on the saddle do?
Any other ideas?
COBB FLOW MAX! Fixed the same problem for me. Your local shop should have some demos you can try out for a bit to see if it works for you.
Goodluck!
My Adamo was perfect last year and not so much this year. I’m a big guy 6’ 3, 230 lbs, but I was heavier last year. the drop in weight allowed me to get more aero. (Aero being relative at my size) It changed the whole fit of the saddle. I moved it a couple of CM forward and dropped the seat post a CM or two and all is good now. Did a century and two olympics with no discomfort…
