Well, lake half empty, lake half full.
There’s a 50% chance it won’t be empty.
Although the lakes levels are freakin’ low, we’ll see what happens. The weather is always changing in regard to snowmelt in the Rockies…which is what feeds the lake.
Then again, I think the area is still drying out. We were a shallow ocean several thousand years ago and slowly transformed into a desert. That transformation may not be yet complete.

I might have to bump this up to #2 on my “must do” list.
I don’t think it will be any worse than a lot of the lakes currently used for triathlons. When I think of how many times certain lakes/water systems are posted as no swimming because of high ecoli counts (and other high readings) I can’t imagine what it will be like in another 10…20…30…etc years.
Unless we clean up our act of course. I would imagine something would be done to ensure Lake Mead doesn’t dry up. That is the major water system for Vegas no? It isn’t like they will just down Vegas anytime soon.
