Wow - all that for 4th place honors. Amazing!
I have a picture of it from Inside Triathlon that is up on the wall in my classroom. The kids ask me “Are those people crawling?” and I can explain it to them as an example of determination and overcoming adversity to achieve a goal … even for 4th place

I don’t even like to drive that far… those triathaloners are crazy and they poop themselves during the race.
I saw it in person. My husband had the dubious honor of finishing just behind them. In fact, they pulled Sian off the line for him to be able to finish. It may be inspiring, but watching it unfold live was very difficult.
