Shreddies is the world's best cereal

Especially with brown sugar.

Come at me.

I was raised on Shreddies, Corn Flakes and Rice Krispies. Basically, flavourless bowls of crap.

You wanna talk about cereal? I submit Oatmeal Crisp Maple Nut. You’re welcome.

You’re an idiot. Squares are so much better than diamonds.

We have the Diamond shreddies up here. Because Halifax is way better than Toronto…

Possibly so, but Whitby is better than both.

Eating a bowl of frosted flakes makes me feel like I just skipped over diabetes and given myself triabetes.

I forgot about that ad campaign. My poor kid was SO confused by that. I had to explain it to him multiple times.

This thread makes me sad. We’re two pages in, and nobody has mentioned the two most perfect cereals–Raisin Bran and Grape Nuts. They’re both pretty high in fiber. Plus I can eat a small bowl of Grape Nuts and feel like I’ve eaten a full meal. Good stuff

Raisin Bran is a soggy mess. Grape nuts make no sense.

In one breathe you denounce a cereal for sogginess and in the next you say the world’s crunchiest cereal makes no sense. Grape Nuts is like a mini-vacation from the horrors of the world. As you’re crunching away, you can imagine there’s no fighting. It’s easy if you try.

Can Cracklin’ Oat Bran unite us all? Sweet, cinnamon-y, holds its own in milk.

That’s funny. I wonder if you’ve also noticed the weird time warp that happens when you’re chewing and chewing. The bowl of cereal doesn’t seem to go away despite all your best efforts. After a while, you just give up because your jaw is tired. Still, there’s that bowl of grape nuts, just waiting.

Lol, totally! There is a reason in my first post I mentioned how a small bowl of Grape Nuts can be filling. I remember growing up seeing people eat Grape Nuts for the first time. They will fill the bowl like they would with regular cereal. Invariably, the huge bowl of GN would always win.

The filling nature of Grape Nuts makes them a perfect quarantine food. A little goes a long way, and they’re so crunchy I don’t think they ever go stale. At least I’ve never thrown out stale GN’s.
