I don’t have a ‘bike’ DIY per se, but I modified the A2 with a visor, not unlike some versions seen online. I opted for something home made instead of the LG Windscreen:
Thanks. It took a few iterations to get the shape right. I knew I couldn’t mimic the 3D curvature of the LG Visor without making cuts like those seen on a map of the world for example (development of a sphere).
It’s actually super clear. I haven’t had the chance to test it outdoors yet, so I’m not yet sure about fogging, glare, etc. The best part is that, unlike other mods, I didn’t have to alter the helmet by separating the shell from the foam at the top. It stays in place at the ear flaps even without the tape. If it doesn’t work out, I’ll have to make do with shades
What about that disc is DIY? If it’s the 3 filled-in areas, it looks totally stock, which is either because it is stock (could have sworn I saw one like this before) or because someone did a BRILLIANT job on the composite fabrication…
I’ll post a pic when I’m on the rollers one of these days. The lower edges barely clear my face/nose. Some would find it claustrophobic. The volume goes down when I put it on too.
