Show me you Speed Concept 7-Series

I know there are some posted in other threads, but those are huge & I’m lazy.

I’m considering a switch to a 7-Series and would like to see some examples of what others have done with theirs. So, Speed Concept 7-Series owners, show me your ride!

Not great pictures, but it’s what I have of the nose cone I have been working on for awhile. Recently swapped out the Ventus bars because I just couldn’t get quite low enough on them (-6 model). This change really makes the bike nicer to ride on country roads, the Vision bars are really stable and just the right position.

Done any windtunnel or field testing with the nose-cone?

have since switched out the frame cage for a bontrager aero bottle painted to match
.

Here is my 2012 7.5
Fairly stock.
17 degree stem.
Swapped the stock extension for the ski bends. Extenstions are set up under the base bar via some bolts/spacers from Home Depot.
I need to trim the rear brake cable a little and might look at an Omega brake for the front end. (I need to get some more miles on this thing before I start worrying about some small aero advantages.

TriRhino - Where’d you get the black TorHans bottle?

LOL well it looks great…

Hey Ryno, do you any closeups of the rear cage attachment? I’ve been trying to mount a rear cage on my adamo with limited success.

Looks like it might be time to take some new photos.

I just recently got a 7.0 and upgraded the cockpit to Profile Design ProSvet + T1 Viper bars and replaced the Apex crankset with a SRAM Quarq (still compact). My LBS had to replace the stock brake levers with some SRAM ones they had lying around since the originals didn’t play well with the ProSvet bar. It’s a bit busy visually since Trek decided to put SEVEN logos on the drive side, but here are some pics. I may eventually peel off the SRAM wheel decals, but hey, they aren’t slowing me down so they stay for now. My first race with it is tomorrow.

Is that an XL, Matt?

How tall are you?

7series upgraded w/SRAM red, r2c shifters, carbon Bontrager base bar, self modified aero bars to mount below base bar, front center pull brake, Quarq pm, zipp race wheels. Pretty much everything bought over the years from st classifieds…

And finally an action shot…

Sir, Not sure if you’re aware, but you can take the shifters apart to set them at a level position when in the most common gear you ride in. You simply take off the screw and flip a small slotted washer like thing that resets the stops. I did it with mine and they are level/parallel with the ground now in the big ring and 13or 14 tooth cog where I ride mostly.

Designed originally in SolidWorks 2010 with yaw runs at 3, 5, 8, and 10 degrees at a target speed of 24mph. Field tested as well, though Iam not currently happy with any of my available courses. Results show 4 to 7w improvement.

Great work! Ty for sharing…

you can call that fairing the cervelo pinch. haha
does it attach to the stem or the fork/brake?
did you drill right through the trimax stem?

Well if that modification gets past officials I reckon there’d be a (small) market for that.
