Shorts comparison

I need a few new pair of cycling shorts for 2010, so am looking at what’s available on the market. I’ve worn out or stretched out my old DeSoto 400 miler bibs and could just go with the new versions (De Soto Men’s 400-Mile Bib Bike Short) but wanted to consider whats on the market. I plan to get 2-3 pair of bibs over the winter so I’ll be ready in the Spring.

Was wondering if anyone has tried the Craft Men’s Performance Bike Master Bib, Zoot Men’s ULTRA Cycle Short or the Louis Garneau Men’s Carbon Ion H-Flexx Bib. I tried the Louis Garneau Men’s Neo Power Shorts, but wanted to go with bibs.

Thanks for the advice.

I can’t speak to the other 2, but the Garneau Carbon Ion bibs are top notch. You won’t be disappointed with them.

Thanks.

Our club gets a great discount through Emilio, but I wanted to check out everything first.

I like my DeSoto shorts and you get a discount. If the fit is good how can you go wrong.

True, but just want to make sure nothing else is out there that’s better before I drop the money for three new pair.

I too like the DeSoto 400 mile bibs, but about a year ago I got turned on to the Performan Bike Ultra shorts which are now my favorites. The Ultra shorts can be had for as little at $70 a pair if you catch them on sale. I am a DeSoto fan and have lots of Emilio’s goods, but these shorts are great values.
