Swimming in the early morning is very convenient for me, except I’ve been called out at work for coming in too late sometimes. Depending on how traffic goes, I can get 30-40mins of actual in-the-pool time. 50m pool, and I’m a slower swimmer - 1:47+/100m steady pace. What are some good workouts to make the most of my limited morning time?
i will give you two…
20X100m on 2min…go hard… you will get faster
second workout… 30min continus swim…build up the effort on the second half…
small warm up and cool down. get the best out of that limited time…you can still improve if you challenge yourself…
If you have some other days where you put longer yardage, focus on speed:
Main set: 4x100 at 100%, recovering 100 very easy. That plus a warm up and a cool down.
If you need yardage:
A pyramid always goes quick: 50-100-150-200-300-200-150-200-100-50 plus a w.u, and c.d.
