Short haircuts for the summer?

Is anyone trimming their hair (on their head!) for the summer with the 90-100 degree heat already here?

I am wondering if this is cooler, for training, and on the race course, or if longer hair traps more moisture on the B and R part of a race.

i cut mine!

went from well below shoulders, pulling it up, to a much shorter bob. this is more trendy and way cuter. actually, would like to go shorter, but my husband says no. LOL

I’m growin’ dread locks…

I went from the #3 clipper to the #1 for the summer. I meant to do the #2, #1 is a bit too close.

I buzz my hair completely (no guard at all). I did it last summer as a way to stay cooler and have kept doing it (a) to save $200 a year and (b) no muss, no fuss in the AM.

Bob

shave that melon!

Funny how we get in the habit of checking with ST on everything? Hmmm let me think, is short hair cooler than long hair??? I better check with the ST experts!

Went to a #6 on top and #2 on side. Usually it’s #3 on side and scissor cut top, 3-4" top length.

#2 all over. Maintenance free all year round.

I let my hair grow out over the winter, then cut it to just brushing my shoulders at the start of the summer. Any shorter, and I couldn’t get it into a proper ponytail.

It’s definitely cooler that way than going a summer with longer hair.

no I am just bleaching it blonder than I do in winter.

“helmet mirror man”

I started doing this for summer and racing and now I keep it that way all year. What’s not to like? No bed head, can wear a hat anytime, ride in the car with the windows down, it’s cheap (my wife does it) and maintenance free.

My wife likes the look, and I don’t care much what others think of it, so I’m never going back. I occasionally travel with a guy who often talks of blow drying his hair, and having to pack hair spray. WTF?

i use shaving cream on my head
.

4 on top and 1 1/2 on sides for me. Maintenance Free. Where else can you get that kind of speed improvement for 10 bucks

Ditto your story with me. I went from this:

I haven’t gone back since.

I have been cutting my own hair since I was 12 ( parents used to cut it, but the f-ed it up one time and that was it for me). I am actually pretty good at it now and people ask me to cut their hair now. anyways, fade up from a #1 to a #2 short to a #2 long on top, love it short in the summertime!!!

I find this thread offensive…I mean really! For those of us that are folliclly challenged and use the #1 guard to even things out…sheesh!

Jay,

I do say you look MUCH better now than you did in the past as a " red X "

I cut my hair short all year.
