Shoe Covers - Neoprene or Lycra?

It’s getting colder here, and my feel are freezing on morning rides. Do lycra shoe covers do much for warmth? They are obviously super thin, but does covering up the shoe’s vents help with warmth? Should I just go for neoprene if it’s warmth I’m after?

Cheers!

go for neoprene but I have the oversocks to be very good balance and they keep your shoes clean
.

I don’t know what you mean by cold, can be in the 30s F here. But I would go neoprene for sure. That lycra won’t provide much warmth at all.

Thanks guys - will go for neoprene or something lined with fleece.

We’re only talking Australia cold here around 40F, but it never gets below freezing so it’s always a damp cold this time of year.

Cheers!

Try neoprene toe covers. They keep your feet quite warm, and don’t get sweaty/clammy like the full booties.
