Shiv Max tire width?

Anyone know the max tire width for a specialized shiv? tried searching couldn’t find it for some reason.

looking at pro4 700x25 but I have read they can be more like 27/28mm.

I don’t own a Shiv but I’ve been around enough of them that I can say with near certainty that 700x35 will not fit the rear. Depending on the width of the rim and how true the particular tire runs, I’d guess 28mm is the upper limit. 26mm would be a safer bet.

Ha that was a typo meant 700x25
.

I have a 2013 Shiv. I have used the IRC Roadlite tubeless 25s on my training wheels. The rim is the He’d Belgium C+. My guess is that those tires measure close to 28 on those rims.

I’ve used the 26mm turbo cotton for the disc and 24mm turbo cotton for the 808 Zipp up front.

Just measured mine, current tyres a tiny bit over 25mm. Theres a minimum of 4mm clearance all around each tyre. For width you could go 27-28mm (eg a 25c GP4000s on a 16-17mm bead rim) but the closest point is probably top of front tyre under the fork crown where some 28mm tyres might be pushing it. Short answer: 27mm safe bet, 28mm maybe, maybe not.
