Pain area circled in PURPLE. Haven’t run in months. Just riding road bike and training for an epic double. Pain has been off/on for the last 4-6 weeks. Close to the insertion point of the Patellar tendon but Tibialis Anterior and other shin muscles are really sore. TP ball on the shins, rolling calves helps. Sitting makes it super tight and then pain sets in. Riding was painful this morning. But in general, moving it makes the pain better.
What do I have and what should I do?

It looks like you have a penis drawn on your leg. Not sure what you should do about it… I had it done to me with a sharpie in college once. Took a while to wash off.

the problem is that you have no idea where this pain is coming from. you’ve circled where the pain IS, but that doesn’t necessarily mean that’'s where the pain is coming FROM.
i understand that this is a serious problem for you & that you’ve come here seeking real answers, but i’m always amazed when people come here for medical advice.
unless it’s something extremely basic, not even the best clinician can help you with information relayed in this fashion.
GO SEE YOUR PCP.
Could be your superior tib fib joint, can cause pain into that area.
Need to see a good sport med doc, for an assessment. They may have you use a compression sleeve over the area to help stabilize it.
But at same time I would suggest getting in to see a advanced sport physio that also does ART (active release technique).
Do you have any knumbness down the anterior compartment? Like a nerve intrapment?. Just want to clear any chance of compartment syndrome. But that would often be a bit lower.
