Does anyone have a ready source for the hydraulic hose insert for Shimano BR-R8070 disc brakes? The hose is SM-BH90-JK. I’m pretty sure the part is SM-BH90-JK-SSR. I can find inserts that’ll fit all sorts of BH90 hose, but not this hose. Thanks in advance.

I’ve seen that one, the one on Jenson, and many others too. The question is whether it fits SM-BH90-JK brake hose. None of the ones that I’ve seen say that they do, and according to Shimano’s dealer manual, I need to be choosy in choosing my insert:

If you have BH90 hose, that is the correct insert and olive.
In fact, you could just re-use the insert that you have in the hose if you want. (Yes, I know that Shimano says not to.)

I was thinking of trying that by carefully cutting the hose off the insert, but I’d like to have spares on hand in case that idea flops.
I might just order some inserts and see if they look like the one on the top, and not the one on the bottom, in the lower right-hand corner of Shimano manual. Shimano is explicit that I need the SM-BH90-JK-SSR insert, which seems to be specific to SM-BH90-JK hose, which is why I’m a bit skeptical that the inserts that are listed as being for other kinds of BH90 hose, e.g., BH90-SS, BH90-SB, etc., will work. I’m generally not too risk adverse, but I am when it comes to brakes.
That insert fits all of the BH90 hose.
