Shimano 9-10 hub compatibility?

I have a disk with a shimano 9 speed hub. Is the 10speed hub any different or is there a a piece that will make the 9 hub compatible with the 10 speed cogset?

10 speed cassettes should go on a shimano 9 speed hub - you just need a spacer if I remember correctly. The spacer goes on 1st and should come with the cassette. My memory may be off - its been a while - but the cassette I bought came with instructions. I put a dura-ace 10 speed cassette on my zipp disc which was a 9/10 speed hub…

Just like you said, dave…I just put a DA 10 spd cassette on my closeout Renn Disk with a nine speed hub (only $320 at all3sports.com!). Spacer, which comes with the cassette, then you slide the cogs on…pretty simple
