Tonight’s the night for daylight savings.
Gimme my hour back!
I need to know how this works for the 100/100 challenge.
Say I run for half an hour
Set the clock ahead an hour
Run for another half an hour
That counts as two runs, right ![]()
We have to wait until the 29th to put the clocks forward. I say it’s well worth the loss of an hour to be able to rise with the sun and not force the body up in the dark.
It’s also great to be able to train off road before work. Roll on April!
I am stoked.
Now I will only be getting up an hour before the sun rises instead of the usual 2.
There should be a triathlon that starts at 11:59 pm the night we fall back.
I love working this day. I have a 24 hour shift. So I get paid for 24 hours even though I am only spending 23 hours at work. That’s right…sticking it to the man! The best part is that I took a personal day (for a legitimate reason) in the fall when Daylight Savings ended. So I used 24 hours of personal time and got 25 hours off.

Do you mean 1:59am?
I have 3 favorite days of the year.
June 21st because it has the most daylight
Dec. 21st because it only gets better from there
Tomorrow because I get an hour more light at the end of the day
Can you tell I’m a sunshine girl?
Forget that, I want my hour back. I have a race tomorrow morning, and I want all the sleep I can get!

I just use it as an excuse to go to bed really early.
This weekend I’m doing my typical (every other weekend) back-to-back 6:00 AM-6:30 PM shifts. Am doing a run commute both days. This means that I’ll be getting home a little before 8:00 PM tonight, then will be setting the alarm for 4:30 EDT (which will feel like 3:30 to me) to run back in.
I just hope that tomorrow I don’t have that same creepy experience that I had this morning, just before dawn, with thousands of unseen crows making a deafening racket above me. (With me thinking to myself, “It’s not a flock of crows, it’s a MURDER of crows.”)

You think like my old college roommate. He was a chronic casino gambler.
Did you see Tippi Hedren?

I only gamble when I know I can win…like today! Stickin’ it to the man!
Did you see Tippi Hedren?
I dunno - does she have a beehive hairdo and a tendency to run around yelling “AAAHHHH!!! GET THEM OFF OF ME!!!”? If so, maybe I did.
If you run for an hour around 2 AM when the time officially changes it’ll be one run, but you get two hours credit for it.
She would have been the one trapped in the phone booth.
I’m a sunshine girl too, but I like my sunshine in the morning as it’s way easier for me to train and go to work later than try to leave work and get in a ride.

Must’ve been someone else, then.
Skipped the run this morning. Feeling a little too beat up in the legs. Extra sleep was nice.
