Seriously, I couldn't make this up. Me & Lance (pic)

I couldn’t have asked for anything better. Forgive my excitement, I’ll get over it in a few days, but I enjoyed the heck out of this weekend.

This is actually going up a 13% climb. Probably near the top I guess as most of us were sitting up for the majority of the climb.

Awesome!

Bask in the limelight, dude!

Very cool. One the for the ages. Enjoy it.

Email the photographer and get that on cd, he should not be able to sell a picture of ‘yourself’ to you…then go get a 20x24 poster!

That is awesome!!!

Average Joe pic of a lifetime!

Classic!!!

Get a print and hound Lance to autograph it for you.
Something to show the young’uns when you’re old and decrepit.

that is awesome. Get a poster made of that one!

Very cool!!! I am wondering why Lance did not use a disc? It appears everyone else did.

No, no, no. That’s not right. You need to ask “why weren’t they penalized for not keeping right as we overtook them? We had to sit up so as not to illegally pass them. Rookies!”

you’ve been “posterized”!

I went through the entire gallery. Lance was pulling in every shot except for the one at the finish line.

you dont know much about photo rights then.

If only you had the HED 3’s he would have never passed you.

TRUT…the photo is the photographer’s property…and since it was took journalistically…he doesn’t need a model release form also.

COOL pic though…

I’m pretty sure he did pull everything but the finish. Maybe John came through a few times on some of the downhills, but maybe not. He was telling Lance to slow down as they went by us on the climb.

I think Lance & John rode Hed wheels on the back because Steve Hed was at the race site helping Lance with his position and given Lance probably doesn’t have any team sponsor obligations right now it was opportunity to support Steve. Normally he uses a Bontrager disc (or it is Zipp disc with a Bontrager sticker?).

Why not use a HED disc then?

because Lance knows the H3’s are better on a windy hilly course
.

The wind speed was 0-5 mph. There was one climb on the entire 27 miles that people sat up for a bit. Lance’s average speed was almost 29 mph. I really don’t think the course was the deciding factor. Besides, is a Hed 3 even lighter than a good disc? I’ll stick with support for Steve Hed. A Hed 3 is a lot more recognizable than a Hed disc.

I don’t know you so which one are you? You aren’t the one with the flag and horns are you?

No wonder you got passed. Your seatpost was too high.

Sorry, I couldnt pass up the chance for slowtwitchery.

Awesome moment to be photographed!
