Bjorn’s a front pack swimmer, so he’d be out with Mark. He’d ride the legs off of both of those guys. Don’t know enough about Sergio to say how it’s pan out between him and Bjorn in the end.
Mark’s got what…one IM finish about 2+ hours behind the winner. They’re not even in the same league.
Now if you’re talking about who can talk up the best training and racing, then it’ll probably be van arkaren…have you read his blog?! Bjorn on the other hand seems to be down to earth based on the slowtwitch.com interview.
you’re missing the vibe of this thread amigo…his blog is his positivity for the sport coming through…get in the vibe, go to www.cervelo.com/tribe and buy something 100% in aid of 4 kids at the Challenged Athlete Foundation…
Of course, the real question is, if the competition were between:
Sergio, Bjorn, Mark, Mike Ditka, and a hurricane - who’d win??
My $ would be on the hurricane, w/ Ditka a close second. Then Bjorn and Sergio in a tie, w/ Mark off the back - which is no disgrace, when competing against the likes of a hurricane, AND “Iron” Mike Ditka
Ooops, hold on one second… I’m having a heart attack. (Thumps own chest violently and repeatedly) OK, all set now.
no hatin’ mate! just saying that Sergio has two overall IM podiums and you don’t have one …yet…doesn’t mean anything else but that. same thing is true for Bjorn. just stating fact…not saying that you won’t be able to do it one day…
would be neat to have you over here for the camp…you like wind?
That’s easy. Mark’s my homeboy! Literally, he’s an Austinite, and so am I. The big diff btw him and me is about 15 years and ten tons of talent on his side.
Seriously, Mark’s the man. Can y’all really think of anyone who’s had a break-out couple o’ years as he?
As a side note, Mark and many others are evidence that Austin is the center of the Triathlon universe!
I look forward to joining you guys in El Paso in late September for preparations for Kona… still got to book my ticket though… IM CdA here we come
Why in the hell are you going to El Paso for Kona preps. You will not get any better than Austin in September for heat and humidity training. Then again you may need a camp to build up some endurance and speed to hang with us on our long training rides
