Hi,
I’m selling a brand new-in-box Cervelo P5 Disc frame and fork, color black/black/graphite, size 51.
Please note: I am only selling the frame and fork and associated hardware, NOT the seat post, basebar, extensions, bento or bottle (none of which I have).
Backstory: I rode a 2007 P3C for a long, long time, then the integrated derailleur cracked off the frame. I made a warranty claim on the frame, and Cervelo, through 2nd Ave. Sports in Durango, awesomely replaced my broken P3C frame with this P5 Disc frame and fork. When I ultimately unpacked the box I realized Cervelo had just sent the frame and fork and associated hardware and not the cockpit. Given that Cervelo sent me this free in return for a 2022 warranty claim on a 2007 frame, I didn’t think it was right to complain.
I had dreams of buying the cockpit, building it up, and not selling it, but the components and wheels from my non-disc P3C (which I love) don’t fit this frame, and separately I’ve largely moved to the dark side and spend more time MTB’ing.
The whole frameset retails for $4,500 (e.g. here: Cervelo P5 Frameset – RA Cycles).
Obviously willing to part with it for much less than retail! Tired of having the Cervelo box sitting in my spare bathtub taking up space. Would take $1000 plus shipping. As near as I can tell, if you bought the cockpit separately, you’d still be thousands under buying a new P5 frame whole.
Thanks,
Scott Humphries

Absolutely an AMAZING price
I would buy it in a second if it was size 58
Killer deal for sure!!
51 would be a good size for me. Tempting. All my bikes are older mechanical and rim brake. Could this be cabled? Or does it have to be Di? Is the cockpit super special? Or can I find something from Profile or other manufacturer? I have to assume I could probably find the seatpost on Fleabay, yes?
Hi VegasJen,
Thanks for the note. I doublechecked the serial number on the frame, which indicates it’s a 2019 manufacture. The pre-2023 Cervelo Retailer’s Assembly Guide (available here: https://cervelo.cdn.prismic.io/cervelo/a450d768-ee3e-4b7f-bdcc-4c209d753215_p_series_2021_manual_v3_web.pdf) states that the frame can accommodate both cables and Di. (“Designed to accommodate electronic, mechanical and hydraulic controls, the P-Series frame is engineered to provide seamless integration of all shifting systems, regardless of method or brand.”)
On the cockpit, I don’t know firsthand, but I did a little digging. There are conversion kits for sale so you can put almost anything on the front. If you’re on Facebook, there’s a post in the Cervelo Owners Group by a guy (Christophe Lapointe) whose cockpit broke earlier this year and he was seeking advice on a replacement. Tons of responses with pictures, including a couple of folks that have put Profile Design cockpits on the P5 because parts are easier to get.
From a brief search, it appears Cervelo P5 seatposts are readily available, both new and used.
Hope that’s helpful,
Scott
Ya, it doesn’t, because now I’m considering dropping a grand on a frame to build a bike I don’t need for a fat old lady who barely finishes triathlons.
