Selle Italia WATT saddle, anyone?

I cannot find much as far as reviews or owners to provide feedback on the Selle Italia WATT Gel Superflow saddle. I know it is still a generally new saddle, but was hoping for some slowtwitchers to provide their feedback.

I’ve been on an ISM PL 1.1 for awhile now. I replaced my ISM Prologue when it wore down (PL 1.1 is the replacement) BUT I went onto a PN 3.0…way too soft. They’re padding # between the two (PL vs. PN) is a bit misleading in my opinion. Doing more (most) rides in a tri pad (not cycling bibs w/ a bulkier pad) has been illuminating that I may benefit from a different saddle that could interface with my anatomy in my TT position.

Thanks for your insights.

kinda like a jcob 55

For me its waaaay more comfortable that any ism ive ridden but finding my entire pelvis eventually goes numb after some time. There arent any pressure points though. I just put it back on my bike to test further

I just got one a couple of weeks ago and like it so far. Need to put more miles on it, but my first impressions are very favorable.

Curious for any long term feedback on this saddle. I’ve been using the ISM 3.1, but have been having some issues with sores right in my thigh crevasse (basically on top of the bones supporting my weight). Tried creams, etc., but it’s still an issue. Not sure if it is a padding issue or something else. I have the Watt (take off from another bike) and was considering giving it a try.

Odd timing. I’ve been using the PN 3.0 and had to finally switch due to repeated sores on my right inner/upper leg. The watt is what was recommended to me by a pretty well known fitter from the UK and I’ve been on it for 2 weeks and the sore on the right side has already disappeared. Additionally, my power balance between right and left has come closer in line to 50/50 as well. I wish I could give a longer term analysis, but in the short term it’s been good. Just be prepared that the ISM is ultra cushioned and while the watt is also cushioned, it is quite a bit firmer.

wow, same thing has been happening to me…right side 3.1 with rubbing right on the sitbone. I switched to the 4.0 with the 30 rated padding and that has helped. I’ll keep the Watt saddle in mind if it comes back.

I’ve also been getting sores with PN 3.0 and 3.1. The numbness is way better than with Dash, Fizik and other narrower saddles, so I’ve stuck with the 3.1 since it was released despite the sores. Finally pulled the trigger on a Ramus 135. Will keep the WATT in mind in case Ramus doesn’t work for me. I’ve had great luck with Selle Italia for road saddles, so I trust they know what they’re doing.

Looks like a Specialized Sitero

Any longer term review from folks who’ve given this a try? Considering giving it a whirl.

I just realized this is my saddle. I’ve had it for several months. I’ve come to like it quite a bit but it took some adjustments for positioning. There’s something about the shape of it that doesn’t quite follow my thigh as well as I thought it would but the issues went away when I dialed in the position. I think if for whatever reason you have little wiggle room in your position it might be an issue but otherwise Id recommend giving it a whirl.

It’s not as soft as I was anticipating either but I’ve gotten used to that, and it’s not like I was expecting a plush pillow or something.

It’s unobtrusive in a lot of ways which I’ve come to appreciate.
