Seared my eyeballs last night - MEN'S GEL-Noosa Tri™ 6

Saw this last night. It’s even ruder in person, all day-glo and obnoxious. There’s definitely a gender-bender twist to it.

If I wore that at a race, I’d never hear the end of it. I’d have to keep those shoes for the rainy day trail runs.

At least if I was mugged CSI style, they’d find my body easy - there’s no way anyone’s ever gonna steal those.

running shoes are supposed to be ugly, and the brighter the better, those are a 12 on a 10 point scale. =]

I’d wear them, what the hell. I kinda like loud colors especially at a race

You just gotta get your '90s on.

I really shouldn’t say anything. I was running in these last night. Great shoes, but…

OH Crap, Dude. Funniest thing I’ve seen all month. Tears! Muhahahaha!!

They sell rather well.

For years they were unavailable in the U.S. and that, in and of itself, may have created a bit of a hub-bub about them.

Solid colors are much easier on the eyes than the Geel-Noosa’s
I wear the Sky Speeds which are serious bright orange - much brighter than the photos will lead you to believe. The color is growing on me and I get a lot of “nice shoes” comments at the gym (not sarcasm comments either). Go figure ?? ??

Love the NBs 905. Need to start scouring the internet for some as I think they have been replaced.

If they made a Piranha in that color I would never buy a different pair again.

Are you insinuating that any running shoes are good looking? I think the sea of white and silver asics/adidas/mizuno/brooks is drab and ugly. The only shoes that I like are the ones that are loud. I always thought Asics were pretty boring until the Noosas.

So name call all you want, but I’m easy to spot in a race (and on evening runs).

I only wear them because they match my speedo.

I picked up my citron kinvara’s and love how loud they are

However those gel-noosa’s look like they were designed by Lisa Frank…

You could (and I did a couple of times) order them from one of the stores down on the bottom of the world. Great shoes…

I’d bet you’re right. Last night, our table was right next to the display. I watched at least a dozen people pick it up, say “whoa.”, and put it back down. They are definitely getting attention.

But they’re still fugly.

Where was I last night? Were you eating Sushi?

I’ve been wearing those around all winter. I get more comments on them than any other thing ever, mostly people love them. I do anyway.

The Asics logo actually DOES glow in the dark too…

I work at a running store, and was kind of excited when these shoes came out. Until I tried them on. The sides are so thick, and the upper is essentially fish netting. I understand the thought that having the mesh upper flushes the water out, but I feel like all the water would pool around your heel and cause major blister problems. Can anyone who has these tell me otherwise? I’ve been a dedicated Asics wearer since I started running XC in 8th grade (um… scratch that. I have the Brooks Green Silence right now and LOVE them) so I was really looking forward to an Asics tri shoe!

I have a pair and yes they are crazy

place them under a black light and they will glow
