Seams in your pants?

Do all tri-suits have seams in the crotch???

I have two tri-suits; both have seams in the crotch. There is thin chamois on the inside but the seam still wears. :frowning:

I have three bike shorts (PI Pro, PI Elite, DeS 400-mile); none of these have seams in the crotch.

What seams (location) are you referring to. Most shorts have a central seam down the middle of the shorts; it’s just that cycling shorts have such a thick pad it’s a non-issue.

I’ve had good luck with the Castelli Body Paint short (there is also a suit). Minimal seams, and a thick (by tri-standards) cycling pad.

It’s a seam running along the frontal plane (from L to R), not the one running from front to back. None of my cycling shorts have this seam, only the tri-suits.

Looking at my Body Paint shorts, no cross-seam (you can see how the leg seams are moved forward in the design). Checked my De Sotos and they do have one.

Is that a seam in your pants or are you just happy to see me?

(sorry, couldn’t help myself)
.

To be clear, I’m interested in finding out if all tri-suits have cross-seams.
(I know that many cycling shorts do NOT have the L-R seam, and some do.)

I don’t know about their suits but the Oomph Vigor tri-shorts don’t have that seam on the inside of the legs.

I have a problem with shorts with that seam cuz it rubs against my seat and becomes unraveled, then they are trash.
